Yeah, Yeah, It's been a while

I know, I am officially the worst blogger. I am sure most of you have given up on me! Well, I am back. I feel like I am always busy, but somehow I get nothing done. One day I will figure this out..maybe. So, this is just a tease post because I have no pictures to share. I have run out of room on my computer and therefore have nowhere to put the pictures that live in my camera. I will get them soon though. My goal is this week.

So, update: We have had a fantastic spring. We started with a vacation to Los Angeles. We stayed in Manhattan Beach, the cutest little beach town. We also took Abby to Disneyland and had a great time. We spent one day there: not enough! Next time, I will plan at least 2 days, maybe an entire week. We only saw a small fraction of what DL had to offfer. I won't try to remember how many rides we rode, because I will get sad about the ones we did not get to ride.

We also had Easter in Cali. Abby bribed the Easter Bunny with carrots before we left so he would be sure not to forget that we would not be home. He didn't forget! He left us so much stuff that I had to "accidentally" leave some of it in Manhattan Beach when I ran out of space in the luggage.

Abby has started tee ball this year and it is so much better than last year now that I have learned the pre-school athletics tricks! Abby's entire team is already hitting pitches (yes, still tee ball though.) I have a feeling that she is going to fall out of love with sports soon, so I am soaking up all the time I have now (while I still control her life a little.)

Okay, now I will get back to retrieving the pictures from my camera!

hugs and kisses to all,
ka

I know, it's been a while

Hi friends and family. I know it has been way too long since I have posted. I am sure most people have given up on checking in on the blog. Anyway, I am back for a quick post with no pictures! I know, who wants to just read?? No worries, I will add pictures later.

So, it has been a couple of months. I am not sure that I remember everything that has happened, but I will hit the highlights. We had a fabulous holiday season. Spent a blissful 12 days at home all together. It wasn't long enough:) We took Abigail ice skating at Steinberg in Forest Park. She loved it and is now is in weekly skating lessons. The first 2 lessons have mostly covered how to fall properly.

Christmas was good for us. Santa brought Abigail a doll house and an MP3 Player. Mike got 4 tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld--I think he is taking me, unless he wants to sleep in the basement for the foreseeable future:)

On more recent events. Abigail had her first official sleepover..wow, did we have fun! We did the traditional sleepover stuff...pizza, dessert, dress-up, arts and crafts, movies, staying up WAY too late.

I have made a very important and exciting decision. I will be taking a summer vacation with Abby!!! She has one more summer until she starts kindergarten, so I thought it would be nice to spend 3 months hanging out before then. Right after her pre-school graduation, she and I will have a "summer of Abby and Kristal"

Okay, I will stop rambling. Pictures to come soon. Hugs and Kisses to all.

This Weekend

I can't sleep, so I thought it would be a good time to post some pictures of my sweet girl We just finished a fantastic weekend of fun. On Friday, we went apple picking --now I need to figure out how we will eat all the apples Abigail insisted we needed. Saturday was a day for soccer and a family get together. We also let Abby stay with a sitter (that was not her grandmother) for the first time since moving to St. Louis. Abigail has been leaning on us to get out of the house and leave her with Ms. Alissa (the assistant teacher in her class) for about a month, so I caved and went to the movies with Mike on Sat. night. They both had a great time and so did we!! Okay, here are some pictures.

"Camping"

Mike and I took Abby on her first "camping" trip last weekend and found out what happens when you put a city slicker in the great outdoors. Poor Mike is still struggling with a bout of poison something (ivy, sumac...we are not really sure.)

On a lighter note we all had a fantastic time. We stayed in a cabin (which is why I am keeping "camping" in quotes), cooked our food over the fire (once the guys got it going:) and floated the Meramec. Abby loved catching tadpoles and had a quite a collection going before she let them go back to their home.

And now I suppose we can call summer over. At first thought of summer ending, I was so sad. I think I am now ready to let go and watch the leaves change, pull out my long sleeves and get ready for fall.
