This Weekend

I can't sleep, so I thought it would be a good time to post some pictures of my sweet girl We just finished a fantastic weekend of fun. On Friday, we went apple picking --now I need to figure out how we will eat all the apples Abigail insisted we needed. Saturday was a day for soccer and a family get together. We also let Abby stay with a sitter (that was not her grandmother) for the first time since moving to St. Louis. Abigail has been leaning on us to get out of the house and leave her with Ms. Alissa (the assistant teacher in her class) for about a month, so I caved and went to the movies with Mike on Sat. night. They both had a great time and so did we!! Okay, here are some pictures.

"Camping"

Mike and I took Abby on her first "camping" trip last weekend and found out what happens when you put a city slicker in the great outdoors. Poor Mike is still struggling with a bout of poison something (ivy, sumac...we are not really sure.)

On a lighter note we all had a fantastic time. We stayed in a cabin (which is why I am keeping "camping" in quotes), cooked our food over the fire (once the guys got it going:) and floated the Meramec. Abby loved catching tadpoles and had a quite a collection going before she let them go back to their home.

And now I suppose we can call summer over. At first thought of summer ending, I was so sad. I think I am now ready to let go and watch the leaves change, pull out my long sleeves and get ready for fall.
